Russell + Mills Studios provided Master Planning, Landscape Architecture and Illustrations for this Historic Farm Park in Arapahoe County, CO. The site was once a milestone stopping point along the Smokey Hill Trail.
The design concept involves restoring the Farm to reflect significant points in its historical development. In addition, the park will serve as a recreational and educational facility to teach visitors about local history and offer authentic farm-oriented experiences, such as nurturing the farm garden, participating in community agriculture gardening plots and caring for livestock. Revenue generating features are also a part of the plan, including a wedding garden incorporated into the historic ornamental plant garden.
