Russell + Mills Studios have developed conceptual plans and illustrations for an existing park in Denver. The City of Axum, Ethiopia, is a sister city of Denver. The renovation of the park includes creating important cultural ties with Axum to reinforce the connection to this location. The renovation includes new circulation systems, picnic shelters, a new playground, provision for soft surface walking trails, a small open field and passive open space. The concepts were developed through a two-part public workshop. We are currently developing construction documents for Fall 2009 construction.
