Russell + Mills Studios was hired to provide landscape architectural services for CYMS, a middle school in Casper, Wyoming. Russell + Mills Studios designed the primary courtyard and adjacent areas as a multi-use learning landscape that correlates to the Wyoming Board of Education Middle School curriculum. The space also provides outdoor gathering areas and outdoor classrooms for the students.

The landscape was designed to respond to the local conditions and use native species that can survive in the specific weather constraints of the area.
