Russell + Mills Studios were hired to provide landscape architectural and public process services for a new retail center in Fort Collins. The center is proposed to be anchored by a flagship Safeway supermarket and potentially gain LEED certification.

Russell + Mills Studios have promoted the use of bio-swales as storm water detention devices and a landscape that promotes the use of drought tolerant plants with low water use. Russell + Mills Studios collaborated with the design team to prepare site landscape plan, design ideas, and character sketches for the site including a community plaza space. This work was part of the neighborhood charette and workshops with local residents and city staff held over two days.
