thorne-rider park, sheridan
Russell + Mills Studios was hired to create a conceptual plan of the existing Thorne-Rider Park in Sheridan, Wyoming. Working with a public relations consultant, the designs were community driven with two community workshops. The designs analyzed an existing park with some challenging program elements and decaying infrastructure. The designs explored how to create some central core services while also enhancing and expanding program elements for park. The park is segmented by Goose Creek and some disconnected land parcels. The plan explored alternatives for three areas. Future work will help define these alternatives and further refine the park for future improvements.
